My role: In this service driven piece which I pitched, I relied heavily on my expertise as the founder and editor of BlackBridalBliss.com. I also used my strong editorial instincts to determine which trends were suitable for the Reflect Beauty audience and was intentional about inclusive imagery (from hair textures to complexions to body types) being included in the article. I am well aware that traditional bridal media outlets focus on a very narrow aesthetic so it was paramount that a much wider audience felt seen and celebrated in this service article.
