The Project: During the height of the summer travel season, this article provided TSA approved beauty items (all from women of color owned brands!) for various vacation destinations. Categories included hair, skincare, makeup, fragrance and lifestyle. As an added bonus, vetted suggestions for what to do in each destination was included in the fun piece.
My Role: I was able to utilize experiences from past press trips to destinations such as Charleston and St. Lucia and my own personal excursions with my vast beauty/style knowledge to ensure that a well-rounded travel service story was executed with a plethora of takeaways for the audience. I was careful to include both destinations and products for every taste and budget. This story was a personal pitch of mine as well.
