The Project: Insiders know that the best way to truly experience a destination is to leave the tourist haunts and find out where locals go. In honor of the 30th Anniversary of the Essence Festival in New Orleans, this feature highlights the favorite people, places and things from tastemakers who are from The Big Easy.
My Role: I pitched this story and worked tirelessly to create a list of NOLA tastemakers ranging in age, industry, gender, etc. In order to complete this feature I located and corresponded with more than two dozen assistants, managers and publicists of actors, influencers, recording artists, politicians and authors in order to deliver a top notch story that readers are able to tear out and keep as a New Orleans city guide for years to come.
