Hi! I'm Bridgette Bartlett Royall. I am a writer, editor, researcher and content creator. I have worked in print and digital media for more than twenty years. My writing has received awards from a variety of organizations including the National Association of Black Journalists and the North American Travel Journalists Association. I've held editorial positions at legacy media outlets, ESSENCE and PEOPLE.

Here are some receipts: I've written for a plethora of outlets including AARP, BET.com, Real Simple, The New York Times and Travel + Leisure. I have created content for major brands such as Coca-Cola and Johnson & Johnson. My experience extends to books too. I've contributed to the anthologies He Never Came Home (Agate) and Black Woman Redefined (BenBella) as an essayist. PEOPLE tapped me to deconstruct the incomparable Aretha Franklin's style for their literary tribute to the singer. And I worked as a researcher and reporter for multiple ESSENCE tomes celebrating the Obama Family.

More receipts: In 2010, I launched the digital platform Black Bridal Bliss (Triple B) after being the founding editor of Bridal Bliss for Essence.com. Bridal Bliss remains one of Essence.com's most viewed franchises to date. Triple B has become a trusted comprehensive resource for all things bridal from engagements to honeymoons. I've provided bridal expertise to outlets including Teen Vogue, The Chicago Tribune, The Tom Joyner Morning Show and Refinery 29 and was even tapped by Princeton University to share my insight on Black women and marriage.

Annnd...More receipts: As a speaker, I have lent my distinct point of view on topics ranging from creating a digital media platform for women of color to the untapped benefits of targeting niche markets to the Laboratory Institute of Merchandising, Hampton University and the Houston Tourism Board. As a bridal influencer, I have collaborated with corporations like Dove on creative partnerships. In 2013, I appeared in my own episode of TLC's bridal-themed reality show, Something Borrowed, Something New.

What else? I'm a Queens, NY native (Go, Mets!), the proud mom of a precocious young son and a Fashion Institute of Technology alum who has also studied at New York University and American Intercontinental University in London. I think HGTV House Hunters and Law & Order: SVU marathons are golden. Always a curious reporter at heart, I'm an avid traveler who counts hip-hop debates with natives in Conakry, Guinea to discovering the majestic Ozark Mountains in Missouri to being completely underwhelmed by the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy among my most treasured travel experiences.

Moral of the story: I have an undeniable passion for compelling storytelling and yearn for opportunities to deliver memorable content surrounding those who have been marginalized. Let's work together to create even more magic!
